Long have we studied the profound interaction between human skin and sunlight, and the extent to which our skin can protect itself from solar and environmental stressors. Epigenetic influences, including sun exposure and pollution, diminish the skin’s native protective reserves of Melanin, Vitamin D and Heat Shock Proteins, which form a first-line defence against UV, Visible Light and Infrared Radiation. The result is dull, dehydrated skin prone to inflammation and premature ageing. For more than 30 years, RATIONALE Research has focused on identifying, optimising and deploying these Skin Identical vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and proteins in our Environmental Protection Formulations.
