Silicone gel sheeting has been the most recommended scar treatment for more than 30 years. Numerous clinical studies confirm its efficacy in preventing and treating scars resulting from surgery, trauma and burns. It is used by plastic surgeons, dermatologists and burn centers around the world.

- Use Instructions

1. Remove gel sheet from package and, if necessary, cut to fit. Sheet should extend at least ½ inch (1cm) beyond the area being treated.
2. Ensure scar area is clean and dry, as well as free from creams, lotions, ointments and powders.
3. Peel off the backing and apply over scar with adhesive side down.
4. Wear daily for 10-16 hours. Remove once daily to allow site to be washed and dried.
5. For best results use daily for 3 months on new scars, 6 months on older scars.
6. Wash at least every 5 days or if the gel sheet becomes dirty or loses adhesiveness, wash gently with water and mild soap. Allow to air dry before reapplying.
7. Use clear storage tray included in package to store the gel sheet when not in use.
8. Silagen® should be replaced when it deteriorates, disintegrates, or will not stick. Each sheet should last 3 to 4 weeks before needing to be replaced.

Caution: If a rash occurs, wash and dry the area and reapply the product for shorter periods, gradually increasing the usage hours. If rash continues, stop using the gel sheet and consult your physician. DO NOT BEGIN USING SILAGEN® SILICONE GEL SHEETING UNTIL YOUR DOCTOR HAS DETERMINED THAT THE SURGICAL SITE IS COMPLETELY CLOSED (SUTURES REMOVED, NO OOZING, NO SCABBING). DO NOT USE ON OPEN WOUNDS.

Silagen® Silicone Gel Sheeting can be used exclusively for the full course of treatment or alternated with other products in the Silagen® Scar Refinement System, including Silagen® 100% Pure Silicone Gel and Silagen® Silicone Gel + SPF 30.

Do not use Silagen® 100% Pure Silicone Gel or Silagen® Silicone Gel + SPF 30 under Silagen® Silicone Gel Sheeting or it will cause the Sheeting to lose adhesiveness. Use Silagen® Silicone Gels during the day and alternate with the sheeting at night if desired.
